The swamp grass is going brown
It's June and winter has arrived. It was cold in the house today so I turned on the heating and tried to dry the washing. In the afternoon I decided it's better to get out and about. Not many agreed for the streets and shops were near empty. Nothing happening in Sydney Park either. Dogs and their owners must've been home in the warmth.
I love winter for its changes. In spite of the predominance of evergreen trees, our vegetation shows the seasons. The flower quotient goes well down and some species die off. So it is with the long grass in the wetlands. The rusty colour goes well with the remaining green against the sky. I love a grey day.
