Stranger in these here parts.

This is a Burnet moth, unusual in that it's a moth which comes out during the day, and likes the sun. Doubly unusual as it is southern resident although it has been spotted (unintentional, honest!) here in southern Scotland occasionally, recently. Amazing what one can glean on the Internet, eh?
