The Eagles

The newly opened Co-op Live, next to Manchester City's stadium, is currently hosting the latest "farewell tour" by the Eagles. (NB - this is the third time they have held a farewell tour.) They were supported by The Doobie Brothers - none of whom are brothers or called "Doobie."

Both performances were pretty good. The venue is huge but at present prone to glitches despite the best efforts of its enthusiastic staff. I have to question the wisdom of building a 23,000 seat venue two miles out of the city, with the attendant transport limitations when there is already a similar 20,000 seat venue in the city centre, adjacent to a transport hub and surrounded by catering businesses.
