Puffin Trio
Ok, so puffins are tiny... and even with the Hubble and the 1.4x they were too far away, but this was as close as I could get today, at South Stack on Anglesey.
I feel I'm going to have to explore Bempton Cliffs one of these years... or borrow a telescope. There were six on this rock, but if I'd pulled back to show the group you'd have been hard pressed to see any of them.
It was fun, standing next to people with massive spotter scopes, listening to them trying to help others to find the birds...:
"see the big rock? well go off at four o'clock and you'll see a smaller one? Right, so move down from that... see that little white blob?"
On the other hand, looking towards South Stack Lighthouse, you could have as many Guillemots as you could ever, ever want...
