Wide Wednesday - Summer Scene

I was over at my sister’s today for lunch, and it was a very welcome day off from the sorting. We had a fair bit of discussion about the logistics of furniture disposal and other preparations for the decorating and flooring at the bungalow prior to my own furniture arriving from the flat. My sister was really sad that a dear little cat who came to her house every day for the past four years (with her owner’s blessing) had been run over at the weekend and had to be put to sleep. It’s so heartbreaking to lose our animal friends in such a way - though they are small they leave a big gap after being part of our everyday lives, and this little girl was a sweetheart.

On the way home, I stopped off in the Essex countryside right beside Layer Marney Tower to capture this early summer scene. It’s only around three miles from Tiptree. On the very far horizon to the centre of this view there are many wind turbines, but I’m not sure exactly how far away this wind farm actually is.

Many thanks to Steveng for hosting this week’s Wide Wednesday challenge with the theme of ‘Summer/Winter Scene’.
