Vitality

I have blipped the old Dorflinde (village lime tree) in Frauenstein a few times before, but not in summer, when it’s looking its best. It always reminds me of Salvador Dalí’s floppy figures held upright by crutches, with its many steel supports, but I think it shows a lot of vitality for a tree that is probably about 800 years old.

I was in Frauenstein today to get a haircut, before meeting B for a long walk in the afternoon. Once again, the weather forecast predicted lots of rain and possibly thunderstorms, but the day stayed dry (apart from a few light showers when P went to feed the donkeys).
