The Emporium strikes back

Well, what a place! The AM has been clearing out his mum and dad’s house and there are a few final things taking up hall space (ahem!) that I would definitely like moved.

So today we trundled off to On the Square Emporium, which reportedly buys all sorts of strange or antique stuff. It was a fascinating place to look around and there is a huge volume of stuff, a lot of it absolute rubbish, to my (admittedly untrained) eye. There are a lot of stuffed animals, including an albatross the size of a large dog and a two-headed calf born in Scotland in 2019!

Unfortunately, despite all the junk treasures, there is no space for the AM’s kit-built ship. Apparently we bought it for his dad at some stage and the kit now retails for £150! I guess we’ll try it on gumtree or somesuch. A fun outing, though!
