A day in 'town'
The weather forecast today was not promising: a 'feels like' temperature of four degrees at 08:00, and a high chance of rainfall, especially early in the day. For this reason we didn't rush out on our bikes first thing this morning. Instead we watched the rain from indoors.
Between the showers we popped out three times: late morning to run errands at the post office and the village shop; mid-afternoon to watch the seals across the bay then go for a walk over the hills behind the village (including a slightly uncomfortable encounter with a herd of inquisitive ponies); early evening for dinner at the Coll hotel. Our timing was perfect each time and we didn't get wet once.
We played two games of Scrabble when indoors. Mr hazelh won both of them so the tournament now stands at 7 wins each.
With such changeable weather we have seen a few more rainbows, including one very similar to that which I added to yesterday's blip as an extra extra late last night. If you didn't see it, please do take a look.
My main picture today is of the main street of Coll's 'capital' Arinagour during one of today's sunny spells. In the extra is a view from the bed and breakfast dining room during one of this morning's spectacular rain showers.
Exercise today: walking (11,574 steps).
