Cruising on Loch Ness !
A chilled start , a chilly wind too but no hailstones like on yesterday’s trip to Culloden.
The thrill of watching dolphins feeding in the Moray Firth will be hard to beat. We will definitely stop off at FortRose campsite again .
We had a couple of hours cruising on the Loch, you get a different sense of the landscape from the water . We sailed past the wild camping spots we had stayed at earlier in the week . We had felt like we were
In the forest but from the boat we could see that a short walk would have taken us quickly above the tree line . As I write my blip we are looking out across the firth from Nairn , a splendid sandy beach will appear in the morning as the tide recedes. It’s lovely to have all this simple time together .
I’m feeling fortunate to be with dear ones who are so laid back and appreciate simple delights . We rounded off our most excellent day with a visit to a nearby pub where we had a very interesting conversation with a local chap . I shall now go and sprinkle a few stars as I try to s bit of catching up while we have signal .
