swallowtail Butterfly

The reason we came to Norfolk at this time of year was to try to get a few pictures of these beauties, the largest UK butterfly and only breeding in a few places.
Today we went back  the wildlife trust at Hickling to do the nature boat trip. We got there early and had a Quick Look around it was a bit cloudy but fairly warm. By the time we got on the boat the sun was out but later it got cool and the rained and I thought I wouldn’t see any. We did see 3 while we were in the boat but as we got back to the landing the sun came out so did the butterflies so I did get my picture
So pleased
We had a sandwich and drink at the reserve then called at Tesco on the way back to the  caravan for some food and fuel.
Sunshine and showers all day we have lost that very cold wind again
