Singleton

A trip to Blackpool today , maybe the last?  MrP had an echocardiogram or something like that, to see if his heart was behaving normally. They've told him he'll receive a follow up telephone appt in a month!! Does it that long to process???
Anyway we pass this delightful old fire station in Singleton every time we go and I can't believe I've not blipped it. Built in 1882 to house a horse drawn fire engine. In the event of fire  the first job was to catch the horse grazing in a field nearby.  It became redundant in 1946 but it seems the villagers loved it so much its been put to good use and now houses an electricity substation.
