meconopsis

I was over at the theatre twice today but neither time saw a show. 

The first time was to meet  the Volunteer Coordinator from Grandmentors. They run mentoring schemes for young people from care experienced backgrounds and/or who experienced ACE ( adverse childhood experiences). I have volunteered to be a mentor and it was interesting to find out more about what is involved. 

The second time was for a tour of the Explorer's Garden, which is part of the theatre and indeed a venue for some shows. It has been a while since I visited the garden proper and I had forgotten just how large it is. It was really interesting hearing about the on-going development work which is being undertaken.  A key feature is their collections of meconopsis, some of which were still in bloom.
