Green fan

Calligraphy this morning and we are doing a group project on the Olympics - by doing I mean writing/designing an A6 sized card on one of the Olympic sports . My randomly selected sport is Field Hockey. Unfortunately I have memories of playing hockey on a school field where we had to walk through the cold streets of Dagenham to play. I can remember my chapped thighs and the indignities of walking the streets in a games skirt and on the field trying to miss being whacked by a hockey stick. It wasn’t my favourite school sport! However I need to find some interesting facts about Field Hockey so any hockey lovers out there?
