Port Sunlight

The u3a had a jolly to Lord Leverhulme’s village built for workers at his factory making Sunlight soap for Unilever . Apart from a delay on the M5 the day was a delight, a guided tour by coach so we got the lay of the site and then lots of time to explore the diverse architecture and public buildings including the church museum and art gallery displaying his fine collections .
Photo is one of the many different styles of over 900 homes, all with bathhouses, and gardens as Lord Leverhulme believed happy healthy workers worked better.
