Maggies
This fancy grand designs type building is Maggies. It's a place next to the hospital where you can go and hang out, they have cancer specialist on hand to chat to and the run workshops and things. It's lovely inside and there is free coffee and tea and biscuits!
I had a high-resolution CT scan at the Marsden this morning and then I had a 5 hour wait until my next appointment so I relaxed in Maggies for a couple of hours doing some cross stitch. Then I drove over to St Heliers hospital to see a lung specialist. The thing seen on my lung in the scans is not inflammation (which was the worry that the drug had caused ILD) and he also confirmed again it really doesn't look like cancer (my biggest fear). He and the radiologist agree it is most likely scarring from the radiotherapy treatment. So he is writing to the oncology team and recommending I restart my treatment.
I was a bit surprised to be honest, I had come to terms with my participation in the trial being over and now it looks like I will be back on it, but that's a good thing, just not what I was expecting.
