Hill Top Ramblings

Constance Spry

Finally, my roses are beginning to open. This is the beautiful Constance Spry, looking great!
We took Barbara to our Little Canada, the wonderful Skelghyll woods. The American redwoods and firs look really massive, compared with our native oaks and I think Barbara felt quite at home. We went to Jenkins Crag and peered over towards the fells, rather swathed in cloud, and then up towards Wansfell.
Barbara then suggested stopping at the Watermill for supper, and insisted on steak all round!
