98% Human...

We went to the zoo today. TFP Mum got a tattoo done in the morning which she was escorted by Mrs TFP. I, along with Bethany, Ewan and TFP Dad met them at the zoo.

I've always wanted to take a really good photo of the chimpanzees in their new home. The Budongo trail chimpanzee exhibit is brilliant. You can get really close to the chimps. In fact one was sat right next to the window so I was, save for a pane of glass, sitting beside one. It was so cool interacting with it. I'd put my hand up to the glass and he/she would then put their hand up as well.

This blip was taken from one of the circular windows with big sit on window sills. I was just laid back on this circular window sill very much like my slumbering relatives behind the glass, watching and blipping them. Such interesting creatures to watch. I could have laid there all day.

Learnt fact of the day: Although the chimps at Edinburgh Zoo are fed as vegetarian, the species is not exclusively thus. They sometimes kill and eat living things if the fancy takes them. The Edinburgh chimps have been known to chase down and kill squirrels that get into their enclosure. Looking at the teeth on one of the skeletal exhibits, it actually pretty obvious.
