tempus fugit

It's a wrap

Sixty-seven of the 100 or so decapitated small trees have been located and mulched and most should survived, albeit 'trunkated'. The rest will be replaced in the winter.

Hogweed grows profusely along the hedgerows up here. I love the way the flower buds are so securely packaged until they burst out of their caul-like membranes.

NB this is common, not giant, hogweed and as such the young shoots and buds are edible.
