A Delightful Lunch!

I had the joy of meeting Kendallishere for lunch today. We've met in passing one cold April day a year or so ago in the Arboretum. Finally the planets aligned and we were able to meet again at a superb Indian restaurant in Kendall's neighborhood in NW Portland. 

We had a marvelous conversation and discovered that we have a surprising number of things in common, not the least of which is that we were both deans of colleges at one point in our lives. Kendall is smart and witty and very wise. I'm already looking forward to our next adventure.

By the way, she took a pretty marvelous portrait of yours truly with her new lens today...have a look at her journal! She's a far better portrait photographer than I am, since I managed to center her head in a billboard ;-)
