Least Tern Eggs

I went to my favorite beach for photographing endangered plovers and terns here on Cape Cod.  The season for chicks is beginning, and I was hoping to find some this afternoon. They have closed the beach to all traffic, to allow the tiny babies to cross the parking lot unharmed as they venture from nests to the shoreline.  I didn't find any chicks yet (hopefully they will have arrived when I return in two weeks) but I did find this Least Tern sitting on two eggs.  If you look to the left of the pink shell, you can see a pale green speckled egg - one of two.  The tern was returning to the shallow nest after taking a short break.  I have placed a photo of it comfortably on the nest in extras.
