Never miss the chance to get tents dry in the morning!
A lovely evening, group buzzing with a) thier achievements and b) being very nearly finished.
Spent the evening watching a few be cold after accidnetal river swims. And reminding them I had lots of spare warm things if they needed. But no, they were all fine apparently.
Until 10:30 when one quietly asked for a spare hat and opened the floodgates and suddenly every spare bit of warmth was left out lol.
Woken up some time around 12:30am by a phone call, then before I'd even had chance to ring back a voice outside my tent.
Worried about thier poorly friend.
Speedy out of bed cos tend to figure that if an 18 year old has actually got out of bed on a cold night to come find me then it's probably an actual problem.
Found 1 well down the hypothermia road and 3 lovely friends all up trying to help him. Very sweet.
Cue making 1am hot chocolate and peanut butter pancakes, getting actual warm dry clothes on, and giving away my cosy roll mat to get him off the floor.
Job done back to bed.
Till 3:30 ish.
A text this time. A nose bleed. That had been going for 10 mins already. And they'd run out of tissue. They'd done a good job tbf to them but it was a monster nose bleed.
Was a beautiful dawn lol!
