Oak panelled bike.

Our new house has now become available material for a wasp nest/bike. This working wasp clearly has good taste as he has chosen the oak to chew up but i am not flattered and would love to stop them doing it. Does anyone know how to discourage the black and yellows from munching up our wood??
We are now off looking for the nest in the making.
