Saturday morning
I woke very early, thanks to my early night! G suggested we go to Dubai Mall for a walk and breakfast, so we got dressed and found ourselves the first customers at M&S Cafe. She had the avocado and poached egg, and I had scrambled eggs on toast. The portions were so large that we didn't need anything to eat until dinner!
Once fed and watered, we set off on our mall walk, passing the Waterfall. The lighting is always different, so I always tend to take a picture. :)
We ended up in the electronics souq section, and as it was so quiet, we went in to enquire about a Sonos Soundbar. Unfortunately, there was a technical fault with the WiFi connectivity, which prevented our demo. Next, we passed the Bose shop, so we went in there. I have to say, it's great being out early on a Saturday morning - you can have the store all to yourself!
The Bose soundbar was OK on its own but much better with a subwoofer. Sadly, that combination doubled the price, so we went into the Yamaha store next. They had a great soundbar, but too big for the space the new TV allows, so I'll have to think of a solution.
We were on our way to ENBD when G spotted that Kino Kuniya had a book sale. She was in there like a flash of lightning and stayed there for so long that I went and sat in a nearby cafe! She eventually emerged, and we went back to M&S to do a small grocery shop before finally getting home, where I promptly crashed on the sofa!
I found out from Khalid that if I dropped the car off tonight, the engine would be cool to start the radiator work first thing, so we did that in the evening. We taxied back, opting to be dropped off on the other side of the road to our precinct, thereby avoiding sitting in Saturday night traffic. It was good to have a lemonade and iced hibiscus tea in Sibul before finally settling in for what was left of the evening. And I have caught up on five days of blips. The ironing and creating a new video will be tackled tomorrow :)
PS. Blip tells me that this is my 4,444th entry! :))
