A wet start to the day, but once the rain stopped we had a coffee at Ashbourne and a short mooch around.

We then headed off to Kedleston Hall via tiny roads, for a walk round the park and a wander round the house. Once owned by the Curzons  ( George Nathaniel was Viceroy of India from 1899 ).

A much better day than forecast, thank goodness, but we had the waterproofs with us as talismans against the rain ;)
