That's a fireman for you.

J came round today to hang the storage racks from the garage ceiling. He's a fireman with a part time business doing jobs for people like me who are too old, too decrepit, and too bloody lazy to do stuff like this.
The units have to be hung from the joists in order to hold the 600lbs they are capable of carrying.
The ceiling is dry walled, and at one point he was struggling to find the joist location so without batting an eye, he was up the ladder and into space above to find out what he could.This is him coming out.
The ease with which he went up and down ladders, turned full circle on them, and so on made me glad I'd made the decision to bring him in.
Because of the joist problem, it took him about 5 hours to do the pair, even with the door open though it was 34C in the garage
And such a nice guy. We now have a 2 car garage again
Couldn't be bothered doing any "real" cooking, so it was hot dogs on the BBQ.


Ah well...
