Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Back blip

On Friday 7th mum and I went to Margate (where Dad grew up) because it was the 2nd anniversary of his passing in the early hours of the 8th. I went to watch the band Elbow play (who Dad loved too) at a venue Dad used to take me to as a kid on our summer holidays: Dreamland.

We took the train down and had a day exploring the old town and had fish and chips and ice cream in the beach cafe.

I then went to the gig on my own. Old school Dreamland was where Dad took me when my brother was too little. Mum would take him to the indoor soft play.

Elbow were brilliant as always. "Sing for me Dreamland!"
