French Boxing

We went up to the park this morning and had a wander round the Festival of Cultures which has been on over the weekend. It was fairly quiet while we were there but I think more people would arrive as the day progressed as the weather hasn’t been too bad today - when the wind dropped and the sun came out it was really pretty warm. We sampled some cookies and ice cream, looked round the stalls and heard some bands playing. 

Just beside the Festival the other Sunday activities were going on as usual. I spotted these two kick boxing - the board beside them was advertising it as French Boxing  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savate 
Besides that, the tennis courts were occupied, the Pétanque was getting under way and an exercise class was happening nearby. On the pond the model boat people were setting up. It’s all go on a Sunday morning.

Later in the afternoon I did a spot of “unwilding” of the garden - with limited success, but some of it looks tidier. Arlo (next door’s cat) came to visit and sat on the warmth of the steps, but the magpie screeching above him was something of a distraction (extra).
