'Cause she knew what she was doin'

I had a lovely customer experience today. 

Yesterday, I was chatting to my neighbour and apologised that we had not completed the last bit of the drive. 

Between their border and our border, there is a little tiny piece of no-mans-land.   I had told her weeks ago we would fill it with stones. 

So we headed down to B&Q (Other Hardwares stores are available) , and found some stones we liked.  They had a 3 for 2 offer on, but we believed that it was a one bag job. 

Oh how wrong we were. 

So we toddled down to B&Q, himself remonstrating with himself about not having thought more carefully about how much we needed, and  I wandered over to  the customer desk.  

I said to the lovely Dave, "Hey Dave, yesterday we bought one bag of this stuff, which was on a three for two offer,  we thought we only needed one bag, but  turns out not.   Is there any chance we could buy another two bags, and still get advantage of the three for two offer. 

Dave looked at me for a second, and said, "you know what, if we "returned" the one, and then processed three when you only take two, that will do it".   He then said "I'll just check with my manager that is okay".  And off he toddled to talk to Kayleigh, who also said, "not a problem. Absolutely fine. 

Can you believe it?    How often do you encounter two staff who are more than happy to bend the rules a bit (it was bending them wasn't it?  lol. 

So we got our two bags, (which I couldn't lift out the trolly and We finished the drive.   I think  it looks very lovely. 

We also had a wee trip to Dobbies, where we utilised Himself's member card and got our free monthly coffee and cake.  

And I was so happy with the Astransia yesterday I bought one for myself. (see extra)
