Afternoon Tea
One of our Christmas presents was an afternoon tea voucher to be used at a location of our choosing. One of the options was here - Grinkle Park Hotel on the edge of the North York Moors.
It’s an elegant baronial country house, a bit off the beaten track so I doubt they get too much passing trade. It was fairly quiet when we got there but soon filled up, mostly I imagine with other voucher afternoon tea people.
The food was really good. A lot better than others I have encountered. We couldn’t manage it all so brought a cake doggy bag home.
The grounds are fabulous. I walked down to the bottom of the lawned area, found the pond, some steps and a bridge through to a wooded area and the rhododendron bushes were just beautiful.
A lovely afternoon.
