Freezing

To capture just how cold it was to dip in the North Sea today, I've gone black and white and "moody". Another in the extras. But the water was soft and fresh - not bouncy at all, despite there being a fresh westerly breeze. It was an enjoyable and refreshing swim.

The rest of the day, it alternated grey, rain and then bouts of sunshine. I spent about half an hour outside doing some weeding and clearing.

After an early tea, I drove myself down to the Inverness airport hotel, where I am staying overnight, and Mr A drove the car back. It's very quiet here, but it has the usual problems that hotels always have - it's rather warm and the duvet looks far too thick for comfortable sleeping. Well, it beats getting up at 3am... 5am will do from here, given the terminal is 5 minutes walk away.
