Lily worms

I spotted some worm droppings under the half-chewed lilies this afternoon, so hunted about for these huge worms! They really terrify me ... they are big and fat (compare them with the battery) with those false eyes and they rear up when touched! Problem is they can much through am entire plant in a few hours.
