The Great Meadow

The vision of the campus funders was this beautiful meadow would welcome people to campus and the buildings would be hidden in the trees up the hill. When I worked on campus, I saw this view every morning as I went to work. 

Given the need for housing on campus, it was decided to build on the meadow. After numerous lawsuits,  it looks like the campus is ready to begin construction. Old-timers, like myself, are upset but progress appears to be wining on this one.
