Southern (Antarctic) Fulmar

This lovely seabird is about 50 cm long and has a tube nose sort of beak. ( hard to see in this pic). This type of beak allows it to get rid of excess salt in the water it swallows. They breed on Antarctic and : subantarctic buildings. It is the cutest, and is enjoying fish smoothies and gaining weight. Soon to be released back into the wild.
