Excitement in the village!

I had a choice of two photos for today's blip - both floral. Then next door's chimney caught fire! Oh, the excitement - sirens. blue flashing lights and men with ladders! It was all over very quickly, no real damage done, just a chimney needing a good sweep, but it livened up the evening!

The irony was that this was the hottest day of the year so far - 24 deg C in the back garden! So lovely that I even put my summer dress on! But, once the sun goes down it does get chilly, and their fire heats the radiators and water, so it wasn't such a strange thing to do. Everyone had a good laugh about it and I got a blip out of it!
