Sunshine

John is feeling a little better and we decided it was time to find a beach for the dogs, it was only a few minutes away in the car and they loved it, both are sociable and had to run up to humans and dogs to say hello. It was all very pleasant.

Home for lunch and just the two of us drove along the road to a nature reserve where there is a tern colony.  What a lovely sound, with Artic, Common and Sandwich Terns according to the information board along with black headed gulls.

Also oystercatchers, shelduck, mallards, a few geese, and an egret. A beautiful area and circular walk around the lagoon with the sea beside us part of the way. The wild flowers are looking good, with some of the red campion a very deep pink.

And just across the water is a power station, apparently about to be decommissioned.  My heading initially was going to be Beauty and the Beast, for some reason I thought better of it. It was good to get out.
