Puzzlewood

Today Rob and I had an outing to Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean. Puzzlewood is a trail through ancient forest which is full of old trees, ferns and lichen and has been used for filming forest scenes in many films and TV shows including Star Wars, Dr Who and Merlin.
I highly recommend it for those who love atmospheric woods and trees. You do need to be surefooted with sturdy footwear as there are many steps and after rain it can be muddy and slippy. It took about an hour and a quarter to walk round the trail but you could take as long as you liked and on a hot day it would be lovely place to spend half a day and shelter from the high temperatures, we were wrapped up today!

The little statues are Kodama and part of a display by artist Ed Elliot. These little tree sprites did add to the experience. They also have a selection of farm animals that kids (and adults) will enjoy and I couldn't resist a picture of the three goats posing brilliantly.
