And suddenly it burbles

Last night we had massive downpours and only really realised this morning how much had come down. Basements had to be pumped out in the village centre, the fire brigade was working in several places along the main road and a section of the road had slipped. When we left our house in the morning, we heard the sound of a small stream near us (where there isn't normally one). In the evening it was still sounding so we went to check it out, see the blip. We are curious to see how long the water will continue to flow.

The lake level has unfortunately risen another 10 cm, i.e. it remains very high but still just below the critical damage level. At the rowing club we were told not to go rowing any more. The reason is the large amount of driftwood and the risk of damaging a boat.
