Gastertnal and the Klus Gorge

Today we walked in a lovely hidden valley near Kandersteg.  Gastertnal is a classic glaciated valley where  at the bottom end the river narrows in a dramatic gorge. We took a minibus up the valley and then walked up the valley as far as we could (until we encountered snow) then retraced our steps and walked back to Kandersteg. The path was good which was just as well as it followed the river which was a raging torrent - snow melt I guess. Another lovely day v
