The home journey

I'm posting this on monday evening as i've had a problem with my i-phone and uploading photos and i-cloud etc.
Not sure if I have it sorted yet as I had to copy pics over manually but we'll see tomorrow.

Another stonking day in Liverpool. we visited another museum (very wearily as our feet were worn out from the last couple of days) and sat in the sun eating more goodies.
We decided to head bit earlier than planned as our train was changing at Wigan so we thought we'd have a wander there to see what it was like.
Bad idea really. We were knackered, roasting hot, with sore legs and feet and pulling our cases behind us - not condusive to an enjoyable afternoon.
Wigan was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well it was Wigan and that's all I can say about it. Needless to say we won't be returning in the near future.

Arriving back at Wigan station to get the train back to Edinburgh and were told it was delayed. With no seats we had no alternative but to sit on the platform to rest our weary limbs.
