Barber of Seville aka Nephew of Edinburgh!
We had busy but fab day in London today.
Started off with a visit to Whitehall for the second rehearsal of Trooping the Colour.
Our ex-military friends invited us to join them at the Scottish Office where his old regiment, King’s Own Scottish Borderers, had been invited to view the parade from the private balcony.
Very cool, we stood on the balcony and had a great view over Horseguards Parade.
Coffee on arrival and then a buffet lunch where we chatted to various people including a few Chelsea Pensioners.
Those photos got bumped from main blip to one taken in the evening.
We met friends for dinner then headed off to Opera Holland Park to see the Barber of Seville.
We aren’t opera buffs, like our friends are, but our nephew was performing the eponymous role, Figaro, the barber.
It was great fun to see him and admire his singing.
We were very proud auntie and uncle!
Caught up with him afterwards.
He has such a huge and wonderful voice yet is actually very gently and quietly spoken.
Main blip is him in full swing and in full voice which sadly can’t be replicated here!
