Empty Bird Feeders

Routine blood tests this morning for my husband and ear syringing this afternoon for me; not a pleasant experience!
 
Some of the afternoon was spent at the u3a photography group where we had a demonstration and hands on experience of table top photography.
 
The gardeners came and because I have not been putting out any bird seed in these feeders since something broke the dome that prevented the rats from getting the food he has made, out of an old flowerpot, what we hope will prevent the rats from climbing up. 
 
Today’s picture is of the empty bird feeders with the new contraption in place.
 
The temperature at noon today was twelve degrees Celsius. It was a day of very mixed weather, with sunshine, rain and occasionally a heavy hail storm. The gardeners spent some time taking off their jumpers and putting their waterproof back on.
