takes me back.  full time motherhood is really hard & not given many accolades. i can't count the times i was asked what do you do, and all i could say was, 'i'm just a mother', even though i had bought the house, paid for pretty much everything. and had given up my job to be an unpaid domestic worker.

in those days, and these, husbands leave most of the nitty gritty to the mother. they meet teenage secretaries at work and take the money and run.  women still get a very raw deal imho. very sad to observe this in 2024.
