Toad Crossing Path

Came across this toad around lunchtime heading for a small lake. It could walk quite quickly. I started work about 915. It was much colder than I was expecting and then it started raining. Ever the optimist I was wearing shorts! I returned to the car for a big umbrella which didn’t go well with all the maps, lists and a clipboard. I kept going, in some places it was just trees as far as the eye could see so it proved quite tricky. I had a couple of breaks and eventually finished. I’ve inspected over 100 trees which is a record for me and walked 14k steps.
