History lesson

On the tram heading back out of town after my office day part 2 and I was thinking I'd not taken any photos all day, having been so busy I'd not even remembered to.  While approaching the big junction at the end of Shandwick Place, before you get to Haymarket railway station, you pass The Haymarket, an historic public house on the angled corner where Morrison Street joins.

I had never spotted this big sign on the wall before, and I've been up and down this road hundreds of times.  It is quite a good description of the area's history.

The tram was really busy which I wasn't very happy about.  I wish I'd ridden into town and just gone home from there.  Back at base I did a bit more work because it was rush hour, and then went home.  I was shattered, and my back hurts from standing for four hours.  I rode the long way, coming off the city bypass three junctions later than usual.

Ah yes: I changed plan and took Fidra today.  It was nice weather, too, so I may cycle tomorrow though for office day part 3.

I've also backblipped yesterday's photo.
