Forest strawberries

Can you imagine that 200 years ago, these tiny things were the only strawberries that people could find?
They thrive in our yard.
And look kind of festive.

Another trip to Coos Bay that was stopped in Reedsport because of an accident which closed the coastal highway. It is the only connection between the coastal towns.

Late afternoon I harvested all the fava beans and peeled them until 7 pm. I had nearly three pounds of these beautiful beans.

After dinner we watched a movie to honor DDay.
