Following yesterday’s excesses, I was determined to have a slow start to Sunday. 

With the football season over and no cricket match to attend, there was no reason to rise and shine early. So naturally I was awake early and spent the early part of the morning pottering around and tidying up…

In sadder news and with great reluctance, m’boy was given his first mobile phone today - an old phone courtesy of my mother was handed to him and was received with much joy and elation. We’ll see how this one plays out, but I am hoping that as he gets a bit older, the phone will give him more freedom to venture out a little further around town.

That’s the theory anyway…

We all had a nice bimble into town for a hot chocolate and some bits and bobs, and then it was time for m’boy’s end of season football presentation which was quite emotional (his team is folding), but also a nice way to sign-off with the other coaches and say goodbye to the lads.

Cracking roast dinner cooked for us all to end the day.
