I'd arranged to go round to a friend's house this morning, it could be a year since we've seen each other so it was lovely to catch up. She'd just finished walking the Coast to Coast Path again, having first walked it with me (and others of our Ramblers) in 2019.

I was telling Rhian about the death of Mary last year when she came out with her own bombshell... she's got breast cancer. She's only known for definite since Monday, so is in the very early stages of confusion etc. so there's an awful lot for her to think about.

I walked back, 4 miles in total. Later I'll collect Jan from Nottingham as she's staying the night.
