A Day At A Time.

Pit Stop

After three hours, I stopped for a coffee and wotnot. These images were taken there.

The drive was fine so far, traffic getting lighter as I got further from Málaga.

The trusty steed was purring along nicely, getting well below my expected fuel consumption, which is a definite bonus.

But the weather got worse as I approached Almeria and from there on, the temperature dropped 10˚ and the rain came down.

And did it ever. All through the mountains, I could barely see the road. Fortunately the traffic was quite light - unlike the rain.

I arrived at my first hotel the far side of Almeria at 4:30, pretty much on time, in a humongous thunderstorm that shook the whole building.

It has brightened up now and tomorrow promises to improve as I approach Barcelona.

I hope so. The next hotel is right on the beach and I fancied going for a dip.
