School pick-up time
My usual Wednesday afternoon routine: meeting Eben from school, for his 4 pm swimming lesson. I've blipped images from the playground before, where I always get engrossed by the sights and sounds. Last week's image, like several others in the past, featured someone engrossed in checking their phone.
So it's a contrast this week: there's the ubiquitous phone, but it's marginal to the sociable conversation that's taking place. I met an old friend too, while waiting, and we had a good chat, if rather a brief one.
After I'd dropped E back at his house, I got home in time for my online Greek class. I really enjoyed it this week, probably because I'd managed to prepare a bit more thoroughly than usual. Richard and I have been watching a Greek TV series on Netflix, recommended by a classmate, and maybe that little bit of listening has helped too. It's called 'Maestro in Blue.' It has its cheesy aspects, but the story is good and there's a great soundtrack.
And otherwise... RIP Francoise Hardy, beautiful to the end.
