Mellbreak
Jess is marshalling in a fell race next week and has been allocated a spot on the summit of Mellbreak. Today we went to recon the route in that area and from my point of view check decent points for photography. Mellbreak stands alone with a summit at 1680ft. Whichever way you tackle it, it is a fair climb, I wasn't entirely sure I would make the summit but slow and steady won the day.
The blip is looking south east from the approach to the south top.
Crummock Water then Buttermere, with a good view of the surrounding hills.
This afternoon I walked up to Parton to see the Midland Pullman coming south on the Cumbrian Coast Line. (Extra, in case anyone is not a hill/lake buff but is a train buff)
